ABOUT READYSTATE

Practical structure for businesses preparing for scrutiny.

ReadyState helps smaller engineering and technical businesses organise evidence, documentation, ownership, and actions before customer assurance, supplier approval, audits, ISO certification preparation, or external reviews expose weaknesses in how information is managed.

Proactively organizing actions to secure operational approval.

Why ReadyState exists

Applying structured engineering thinking to organizational knowledge.

The Challenge of Organic Growth

Growing technical businesses often build documentation organically across projects, shared drives, spreadsheets, email and individual knowledge. This can work during normal operations, but problems become visible when evidence suddenly needs to be located, explained or presented to an external party. ReadyState applies a structured approach to make it clearer what exists, where it is held, who owns it and what still needs attention.

The ReadyState Approach

ORIGINS & ETHOS

Founded by an engineer.

ReadyState was founded by Ben Clasper, whose background is rooted in aerospace engineering. He developed his approach within structured, high-accountability engineering environments where traceability, ownership, documented evidence and defensible decision-making are not just operational ideals, but essential daily practices.

The company grew from applying the same principles of structure, traceability and accountability to a common challenge faced by expanding technical businesses: while critical, high-value information exists, the logical documentation structure surrounding it has not always matured at the same pace as the organisation itself.

How ReadyState works

ReadyState is built around three simple principles.

1. Practical

Create working structures that clients can actually use and maintain, avoiding unnecessary operational overhead.

2. Structured

Make evidence, document locations, ownership and actions highly visible, ensuring absolute operational clarity.

3. Bounded

Remain strictly clear about where legal, regulatory, certification or specialist technical expertise is required.

Preparing for external scrutiny?

If customer assurance, supplier approval, an audit, certification preparation or another external review is approaching, ReadyState can help you establish a clearer view of your evidence, documentation, ownership and actions.
